Product Marketing Strategy for Nexford University

Developed and executed a marketing strategy to address learner churn in the Nigerian market, resulting in reduced churn, improved satisfaction, and enhanced feedback collection.

Challenge: As the first Product Marketing hire, I needed to tackle high learner churn in the Nigerian market, where most learners discontinued their studies and payments after a few months.

Solution: My team introduced live physical orientation sessions at community spaces in Lagos and Abuja, which I successfully led, to foster engagement and connection. Additionally, I coordinated and led the livestreaming of the 2023 Nigerian graduation, amplifying our reach.

  • Reduced learner churn in the Nigerian market through impactful orientation sessions in Lagos and Abuja
  • Improved general learner satisfaction, leading to more consistent survey feedback
  • Livestreamed the 2023 Nigerian graduation, reaching thousands of viewers on YouTube

Payment Gateway at Hydrogenpay

The gateway had multiple issues affecting transaction success. I implemented a solid dynamic routing engine, alongside reconciliation and features like sub accounts.

Challenge: High transaction drop-offs due to single-point payment processor downtimes and lack of automated reconciliation across multiple payment channels, leading to merchant dissatisfaction.

Solution: Designed and implemented an intelligent multi-switch dynamic routing engine, automatic instant webhook reconciliations, split payment settlements, and virtual merchant sub-accounts.

  • Achieved a 99.4% payment gateway uptime and transaction reliability rate
  • Reduced merchant settlement reconciliation discrepancies by over 80%
  • Shipped automated sub-account splitting for multi-vendor marketplaces
  • Significantly boosted merchant satisfaction and payment volume retention

Donor Portal at Human Development Fund

Donor details were spread across multiple collection platforms. I implemented a single app that consolidates the donor experience and record.

Challenge: Donor details, recurring pledges, and tax receipts were fragmented across four legacy third-party platforms, causing administrative strain and donor drop-off.

Solution: Architected a unified donor portal with integrated multi-currency payment processors, centralized donation histories, automated tax statements, and real-time project impact tracking.

  • Consolidated 4+ disparate donor portals into one seamless, unified web app
  • Increased recurring donor retention by 35% within the first two quarters
